First try sorta successful

 


This was a lot harder than anticipated, I did make 4 tables worth of parts so I hope to have a more successful try before March 17, I'm very shocked it help the full drink, I also got 2 tables worth of parts printed in the lighter alder wood and hope to kinda mini graffiti on those tables, pretty happy with how it looks and hopefully better planning and practice will make the next ones look better

Coaster Thumbnails

  These are my 12 ideas for the Coaster Project, I wanted something that had function outside of being a coaster so I'm happy with #1 and #8, I also like #2 and #3 because it's fun and light hearted, I think with #2 I could branch out and incorporate other sports into separate coasters as well. I wanted to try reactive coaster with #4, #6 and #10 but don't know the logistics on that just thought it was an interesting idea.

Voxel Model Renders

         I refined the overall shape, I also added a metal material to the nose and eyes to make it look reflective and shiny, as well as adding bumps to the nose which aren't really noticeable in the final render. I added a sun for the lighting and approached my camera views from a higher approach so that it doesn't seem, as threatening, I also added a sand texture for the ground and a blue to white gradient for the background to resemble the sky. I learned that there is so many textures that can be used but that they are not very easy to do, I tried to do a fur texture for the body and it just wasn't looking good at all, I also learned that it will look better after doing the full render and that the rendered perspective box exaggerates lighting.
